The past week was a bit much for all of us. I think Braden fed off the stress, and his behavior was soooo not ok. I can’t blame him. Our house was like a pressure cooker! I wouldn’t have been surprised if Justin’s head just spun right off his shoulders. As we neared the end of the week with his dad at home, Braden looked at him and started to declare, “Leave!” Yep, we had enough togetherness for one week. Now that it has been two days of back to business as usual, we are all a bit happier. Braden is back to running laps around the kitchen, insisting on touching all the things he’s not supposed to, and in general being two. Although, I will say that there has been some insane regression in the potty training department. My son has turned into a Golden Retriever. In turn, I now have the cleanest floors you have ever seen.
Please tell me that some day we will be potty trained! *sigh*

I have a girl so its a little (ok, a lot!) different but…..
Potty training will happen. Braden seems like the kinda kid who does things when HE is good and ready to do them.
Until then, the floors will be spotless!! 🙂
I’ve been thinking of you all and always marvel at your strength.
On the potty training front, my son completely refused to have anything to do with the potty until I backed off completely for a few months and then all of a sudden 3 months after his 3rd birthday, he said he wanted to sit on the potty and a week later we he was in underwear 100% of the time and accident free. Sometimes boys just take a looooooooooooong while. Good luck!
Ooooo, boys and potty training. YUK! Builder Boy wasn’t fully trained (day and night) until he was over 4. It was horrible. He had to do be day trained for school, so three weeks before school started, we did it cold turkey. All the other efforts to ease into it failed miserably. He could do it, he just chose not to. Good luck.
