Battles against terminal illness, anxiety, and life!

Yesterday was Braden’s well child visit.  We love our son’s pediatrician.  Ok, we know that he’s probably reading this, but I promise I’ve said it in private to numerous people as well.  We mean it.  We feel cared for and respected by the entire practice.  Our little man is growing.  Despite our struggles with eating he’s a sturdy 35 pounds (75th percentile) and is 37.5 inches tall (50th percentile.)  That places his BMI in the 80th percentile.  We are thrilled with those numbers!

Not so exciting is the fact that his other ear is now infected.  He’s still coughing and sounds congested, and it’s now been nearly ten days.  He’s getting annoyed with coughing.  Last night his fever hit 102.1.  He’s much better this morning.  We’re hoping he can have some smooth sailing soon.  He’s on a new medication for his ear.

We think we might get a few more canvases for Braden to paint.  Looking at his work makes me smile, and I love to decorate the hallway to the kids’ rooms with them.  Thank you to all of you bidding on Braden’s work.  We have $240 worth of bids!  That, my friends, is 4 speech therapy visits!  Whoo hoo!  Yay!  Very exciting!
