Make-A-Wish came out on Saturday, and we appreciate their time. The next steps are on their way to being completed, and Braden is one step closer to making some more amazing memories! I’m going to make an educated guess that we end up on a Disney Cruise, but Braden’s very close second choice is to go to England to visit Thomas Land and to ride on a real train there too. Those of you that follow him, know his great love of trains! Thank goodness the next train ride at the North Alabama Railroad Museum is at the end of this month!
We are saving our money for many things, but among them is a new vehicle. Right now we have a Chevy Trailblazer. There is very little leg room, and I have a really hard time lifting Braden into it. He can’t climb in on his own either. Now that he tops 40 pounds, he’s not so easy to pick up! Looking into a minivan.
I am always working on new ways to bring smiles to Braden’s face. A big thank you to the very nice lady named Lisa who talked to us about her horses this weekend! We’ll be in touch soon. That’s on Braden’s bucket list!
I’m also working on finding another train for Braden to ride. Any suggestions?
Braden’s next doctor’s appointments are next week. We have his surgical consultation for his fundoplication surgery as well as his pulminology appointment. After tracking his symptoms for 15 days now we have the following:
Cough- 15 days of chronic coughing.
Sneezing- 11 days
Boogers- 9 days
Runny Nose (constant) – 3 days
Blood in his #2- 6 days
Reflux to vomit- 5 days
bloody nose – 1 day
Couldn’t breathe- 1 day
So, it’s been quite eye opening. You don’t realize it as much when it becomes your normal. Regardless, we hope to shed some light on these symptoms next week. We will be sure to keep you updated!
Oh, almost forgot! We set up Braden a Go Fund Me page! This will help us with Braden’s needs and smiles. If you feel inclined please visit the page, and feel free to share it with those you know.
