The entire month of January slipped by without a post from me here. How can that be? Oh wait! I know! We have a newborn in this house! Ok, excuses aside, things are going ok around here. Braden has had a continual sinus infection for quite some time now. Oh, the boogers. I should have bought stock in Kleenex! Every bug he picks up he shares with his two sisters. It makes for fun times around here at Casa Winks!
We are making progress on Braden’s Make-A-Wish trip. We have applied for Piper’s passport, and have been informed we will go to Cadbury World in addition to the wished for Thomas Land. Mmmm…chocolate! Breaks our hearts! We are all getting excited despite it being three months away. Did I just say three months? Shoot! I better start creating my packing list now! Three months isn’t long to plan a trip for three children and two adults. The logistics are going to be interesting! Front pack, two strollers, diapers galore, more pull ups than you can shake a stick at. Eeek! So much to do!
Lately Braden has become increasingly frustrated with the things that greatly challenge him. He cried today because he couldn’t get his socks on. He threw his paper when he couldn’t draw a heart. He had a tantrum because he couldn’t get his pants on. It’s a challenge to teach him that we all need help sometimes. Also trying to teach him ways to compensate and to gain independence. One day and one struggle at a time.
More later. Now time to cook dinner and tend to a crying five-week old.
