Battles against terminal illness, anxiety, and life!

Special Spaces Room- How to Help

Special Spaces Chattanooga would like to invite you to join us in becoming a sponsor while we create a bedroom designed especially for 5 year old Braden Winks. Special Spaces Chattanooga is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with life threatening illnesses. Our premise is that these children spend an enormous amount of time in their bedrooms and need a place of comfort, peace, hope and encouragement while addressing their medical needs.

We have completed ten rooms for children in the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Polk County, Fort Oglethorpe, Chatsworth, GA and Jasper, TN areas with the hope of many more to come!

Braden Winks is a local five year old boy who lives in Athens, AL. He has Ataxia-Telangiectasia. That’s A-T for short. It’s a rare, progressive, and terminal medical condition with no cure or treatment. A-T combines all of the symptoms of Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cystic Fibrosis, Cancer, and immune deficiency into one condition.

Thus far, we have been fortunate in partnering with Lowe’s, Clear Channel Huntsville, Winter Homes, Valley Heating & Cooling, and many other local companies. We would love to add you to this list of companies that will help make Braden’s room become a reality!

Please visit our website at http://www.specialspaceschattanooga.org to see the rooms that have been created for these precious children. Your sponsorship will ensure the success of Braden’s room. Please don’t hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or need further information. You may make a donation at any Redstone Federal Credit Union by asking to make a deposit into the “Winks Special Spaces Bedroom” Fund. You may also donate right here on this very blog.

Your local contact is Becky Winks. Her number is 256-497-4087. More information about A-T and Braden may be found on his website: http://www.bradenwinks.wordpress.com. We very much look forward to working with you in the future!
